How do I configure outlook to get my mail?
There are two ways to get mail in outlook:
IMAP (keeps messages on the server)
or
POP (downloads messages)
Follow the below steps to configure Outlook.
Click on Tools -> Email Accounts
Under E-Mail click on
Select either POP3 or IMAP Add a new email Account
Under User Information put in your Your Name and email address
Under Server Information put in mail.palace-designs.com under both the Incoming and Outgoing mail Server
Under Logon Information put in your User Name (username@domain.com) and Password
Click on More Settings
Under the tab Outgoing Server, check the box for My outgoing (SMTP) requires authentication
Under the tab Advanced, change the port for Outgoing server (SMTP) to 587 if you have trouble sending out email
Click OK
Click Next
How can I use (outlook/thunderbird/XYZ) and webmail without losing messages?
You can use both a email client on your phone or PC and use webmail at the same time without “downloading” mail to your local email client. This method is called IMAP and is fully supported.
Palace-Designs Email supports POP (downloading of email), IMAP (keep mail in sync) and SMTP (sending mail).
Just change your settings in your email client to use IMAP instead of POP
How do I access email from a webbrowser?
To access webmail (web based email), visit https://webmail.palace-designs.com and type in your username username@domain.com along with your password
How can I sync my Contacts / Calendars / Tasks or Notes with Outlook/Thunderbird or my mobile phone?
The email server supports various syncing methods either through Smartermail sync (found in Webmail under Settings->My Settings->Smartermail Client Utilities) or using a SyncML client.
One Funambol provides SyncML clients for Outlook, Thunderbird, IPhones, Blackberrys, Windows Mobile, Symbian and Andriod. Please see the link: https://www.forge.funambol.org/download/ for the correct downloads for your device or desktop client.
To properly sync you must provide the following options:
SyncML Location: https://webmail.palace-designs.com/sync/default.aspx
Username: yourname@yourdomain.com
Password: your password

Yes, we support TLS on the standard SMTP, POP3 and Imap ports.
My ISP blocks SMTP outgoing, what is the Alternative SMTP Port?
Yes, our Alternative SMTP port is port 587
